North Star unveils new version of Fort Collins logo

Fort Collins and Greeley logos by North Star Destination Strategies Colorado
Draggin' the line

Anyone who's following the Fort Collins logo controversy might be surprised to learn that the North Star consultancy has unveiled a new version of its Fort Collins logo. The new version is posted online at North Star's case study for its Fort Collins branding project.

Remarkably, North Star's new version of the Fort Collins logo resembles even more closely the North Star logo for Greeley (compare the top and bottom logos reproduced to the left) than did the original North Star logo for Fort Collins, which was unveiled in February (left, middle). The derivative nature of North Star's Fort Collins logo was one of the primary reasons causing Fort Collins to reject it.

We already knew North Star doesn't understand Fort Collins. Apparently North Star also doesn't understand the imprudence of further insulting a dissatisfied client.

Have a look at my coverage of the Fort Collins logo affair.
