In the spotlight for stating the obvious: E.J. Dionne Jr. (09-Mar-07), Who's hyperpartisan? washingtonpost.com, online (accessed 12-Mar-07).

Washington Post columnist, Dionne, reviews the polarized politics that Republicans provoke and the string of governmental failures that have characterized the Bush Administration. Dionne provides a brief catalog of how the Administration inevitably blames failure on "the bureaucracy."

"Republicans win office by saying government can't work, then go about proving it."

UPDATE: For insight into the history of how Republicans demonize the opposition, see my blog article from August 15, 2007: Republican affinity for hate.
