When our country's celebrated bloggin' schoolmarm finds the wherewithal to deflect accusations about our country's institutionalized use of torture by pointing a finger at the actions of another country (and, incredibly, raising a straw-man that castigates other Americans for not following her ignominious lead), you know our country's values are forgotten. Or maybe it's the schoolmarm who's forgotten that our country triumphed in the Cold War because we were the ones who respected the rule-of-law.
